Conference area behind the dining room
Around the end of the '80s, the hotels in this area began to start to decline, and in an effort to remain relevant, they began to promote themselves as a place for business meetings and conventions. This room, attached and partitioned from the main dining room, featuring a small raised platform with a panel podium, and a seating area set under a large ceiling mounted light fixture. There appears to have been a dance floor at some point, which may have been assembled from interlocking tiles, which was removed to prevent possible water damage in the event the roof leaked. Or they just had one ugly floor.
