The steep cliffs of the Palisades rise high above the Hudson river, presenting a hazard for interested visitors. This sign, warning visitors of the dangers, contains one typo, and reads:

Notice - cliffs and steep slopes are dangerous. For your safety, please observe park rules:
* Do not climb on cliffs or slopes
* Alcoholic beverage are prohibited
* Trails close one hour after sunset
Violators will be prosecuted
