Grand brass chandelier suspending falling ceiling tile

It looks like at some point, water damage caused some of the ceiling tiles to fall down. The chandelier appears to have caught one. It is an unfortunate contrast that such an ornate and large brass chandelier now be useful only as coarse scaffolding to catch falling building materials.
