Empire Wing Elevator cabs in main lobby
Neat light fixtures hang from the ceiling near the elevator bank in the main lobby, serving the Empire Wing. Of note in this photo is the elevator serving floors "G", "M", and "11" through "16". The building was only 8 stories tall (albeit short stories). The first number indicated building 1, the Empire Wing, and the second digit indicated the floor. Also of note is that this is one case where something unusual did happen, and we did notice. The left and right elevator cabs are not the same. The cab on the left has an interior resembling stone work. The elevator on the right, stalled open on the 8th, er, 16th floor, has damaged wood paneling.
