Bust of Mercury?
I am not 100% sure that this is Mercury, but apparently it would make sense since Mercury was a god of trade and travel. Also I wonder about the origins of this specific piece. It did not appear to be necessarily unique, although it is certainly unusual. I want one of these now so that I can paint a lipstick kiss on the cheek in bright cherry red, contrasting the vibrant colors and passion of a kiss with the dull monochrome appearance of the classical art.
