The Oxford Inn practically unscathed
Besides some superficial charring of nearby brush, the Oxford Inn, one of the older buildings on the property, escaped the wrath of the fire. One of my favorite features of this building was the "secret level". The basement was a carpenter's shop. The first and second floor were once guest rooms that later became exclusively employee housing. The third floor was rendered inaccessible by renovations that occurred at an unknown time. Formerly, the third floor was dormers in the "attic". It is unknown why it was decided to take these rooms out of service.
