Broken automatic sprinkler on a hot tin roof

This pit provided access to a sprinkler valve at one time. The iconic green metal roof is seen here. Most of the large pieces of roofing material appeared to have already been scrapped, as evidenced by the bare pile of stone rubble where the Tudor building once stood.
