Peeling paint and crumbling plaster in the master bedroom

By far the largest room in the house, one can only assume that this is indeed the master bedroom. Not only did it afford both front and rear views, it also featured walk-on roof access (note the door in the background). This door provided the only access to the secret room (seen later). Also note the amateur plaster patch job that paints a serpentine pattern on the wall. The job was incomplete however, and the lath and plaster construction is visible thanks to a sizable hole in the wall (in the background by the door).
