Spaghetti wiring in the basement

I have a feeling that the owner did the wiring himself, as an avid electronics hobbyist. More of these wires were extension cords. Again, note the countless chemicals sitting on the shelf.

A pretty cool workspace, actually. I'd like it. But that wiring... seems he should have put a bit more effort into doing it right. Especially as it seems he knew how to wire properly.
