Close up of the telephones and the shortwave receiver. It's not clear what he listened to, although considering that he had two telephones nearby made this even more bizarre. It did not seem that he had two physical phone lines, and one is missing a battery, so he probably was only actively using one of these. This is a receiver only, so he was not an active ham apparently.
