No trespassing town property street sign
This sign, like others by the Orangetown highway department, is on a reflectorized traffic sign blank but reads "No trespassing". In this case, however, town does own the property appearing behind that sign. The "No trespassing" message is intended to demonstrate that trespassing is prohibited in that wooded area, and not on the road. However, I have personally seen other drivers become confused as to the meaning of this message, instead interpreting it to mean they were not allowed on that road at all. They would turn around instead of proceeding. In fact, it is a county road and is open to traffic.
