Pines Hotel poem from 2001
A rather unusual form of expression found in the Wedgewood Room bar area. An oversized writing pad had this poem written on it in marker. This was not here again when we returned in 2005. The poem reads:
I remember...
I remember the glory days here
I remember learning to ski...
I remember watching the shows
I remember sleeping in the beds
And eating the food.
I remember it all
But all is gone
And never returning again
-
The darkness is here now
The smiles are gone
But worst of all
The memories are fading as well
This poem will say nothing
For no one will ever see it
But worst of all
No one will even care
