Unmonitored door monitor
Despite the imposing appearance of this magnetic reed sensor, no one is watching. No alarms will go off. No one will come. Hell, a few years ago, there was a controversy about the "security" intercoms in the parking areas. The intercoms featuring a huge red button and a flashing blue light - except that hitting the red button would do nothing but activate the light - no one would know to come unless you hit the button and started speaking into the intercom - and unless the security guard at the console was there, able to hear it, and responded to acknowledge it, there would be no other indication in the security area that an alarm was being activated - a massive human factors failure in the design. Supposedly that changed after that controversy.
