Clearly, this is a temporary wall, but what could be on the other side? As it turned out, it didn't take long to find out. About 500 feet down the way, there was a poorly constructed plywood barricade with a plywood door, secured by a padlock that wasn't even latched. Clearly this meant that there were people inside. But interestingly, there were no signs explaining what was behind the door (or restricting access for that matter).
