The ol' spare x-ray machine
I get the feeling that they didn't know where they wanted to actually put this machine, so they just plugged in an extension cord, put some barricades around it, and figured they'd find a home for it later. It's interesting to note that this particular model of the Rapiscan x-ray machine is obviously intended to be portable as evidenced by the heavy duty casters on which it rolls. Presumably, this unit is intended to re-check passengers that may be passing through the airport for a connecting flight, much like I was.
