Former Quick Alterations store

One of many unusual independent small businesses that chose to locate in the Nanuet Mall in its final years. Anyone know what this was before an alterations store? It's so unusual to see a shop like this in a mall. The paradigm of a mall is usually to buy new, i.e. retail. But in the mall's final days just about anything could be found at the mall, which seemed to lack any sense of retail whatsoever.

I believe this was a Lids store. I only say this because I worked at Lids when this was the standard store design - the close wall slats, the black walls, those "wells" up front (which helped separate different types of caps), and the back of the sign (the original Lids logo sign was a circle. It looks very familiar to me and identical to the store I worked at.
