If you look very carefully, below the medicine cabinet, but above the debris, there is a grey spot on the wall. That is the original wallpaper, not touched by paint. The toilet bowl probably sat approximately in front of that spot, and whoever painted just cut a little corner that no one would ever notice. Except us.
