Flooded basement behind the midget door

I chose not to explore the area behind the midget door to the basement because it was flooded and I was wearing baggy pants that would have absorbed this nasty water like a Bounty paper towel. Also, supporting the midget custodian theory is an old wooden ladder rotting away in the waste water. It is clear that this water has been standing in the basement for some time, as everything has developed a brown growth on the surface.
