Western Electric 500W telephone
A typical Western Electric rotary dial 500-series telephone was found in every guest room. The 500W model featured a neon lamp to indicate ringing / message waiting for PBX systems like this hotel had. These phones used four-wire configuration, with one pair to deliver voice and the other to deliver a message waiting signal.
