Wall mount bracket for a payphone
One common theme from Catskills hotels is that the payphone industry was dying at the same time the hotel industry was. Many hotels closed as the payphone companies were collapsing themselves. This phone was clearly not bell-owned, as evidenced by the business card from the COCOT business that was probably forced to walk into the empty building to get their equipment back. The card, from Telelink Communications, reads: "Please call to have payphone reinstalled. Thank you."

I could probably find an answer to this by looking around the site some more, but are you possibly involved in the telecom industry, Sousveillance? You seem to be very knowledgeable.
