Retro typography on an exit sign
I am naturally a sign buff in general but there is a special place in my heart for retro typography in this style, which I would estimate to be from the 1930s or 1940s, which is a complete guess based on gut instinct alone. More interesting to me was that I noticed the paper stuck to the wall when I reviewed the photo later. The paper appears to be some kind of incident report form, but it is unclear why it was stuck there, or how. That would be at least 10 feet off the floor.
