Renovated room ceiling and light fixture

Seeing this kind of thing made me sad. Obviously, a lot of effort had been put into the rooms like this, that the did renovate, to bring the place back to life. The ceiling had a nice finish to it (although I am a knotty pine lover), and was finished with suitable trim and electric light fixtures that just looked overall decent. It could have been nice if it worked out.
