Powerhouse seen from light rail
The Hudson Bergen Light Rail casually cruises by the Jersey City Powerhouse. Efforts to save the building have proceeded slowly since 2008 but work continues. It is interesting to note that despite the building's appearance, it still is used to house electrical transformers that power the both the HBLR and PATH systems.

Is this abandoned? If so, I must venture to it.

I believe that as of today it is vacant and boarded-up in a colorful way as part of ongoing restoration efforts.
