You've got mail
At one time, Grossinger's hotel even had it's own post office! Located on the first floor of the main building, the post office was an actual USPS full-service post office. This was apparently because the town of Liberty was known, at the time, for its mental institutions. The Grossinger's lobbied (successfully) to have their own postal code and postal service. This was decommissioned shortly after the hotel closed in 1986. You would never know this considering there is a sad, lonely plastic mail box at the empty guard house today. And if you think having your own post office is impressive, how about their own airstrip? Yep, they had that too.
