RCA VHF radio repeater
Perhaps the most interesting find of the day was this intact RCA VHF radio repeater on the roof of the Jennie G building. It is not surprising that the hotel had two way radio service; many hotels in the area did (whether they were licensed or not is another story). It was rather obvious that there was some kind of radio service in this building, as there were at least two omnidirectional antennas on the roof. What surprised me about this was, well, it was still there. Considering how just about everything else had been stripped out of this place, it was a little weird to see intact electronics. It almost reminded me of finding one of the radio shelters in the game "Fallout 3".
