Disused deteriorating diving board
Given that it is apparently constructed out of formed concrete, it would seem this was not a very forgiving diving board. Also note the lanes in the pool. Grossinger's was one of the first Catskills resorts to feature an olympic sized indoor pool. The grandeur of the indoor pool itself is exceeded only by the large laminated wood beams supporting the roof. One thing that unfortunately is not visible in the shots I took of the pool is the observation window directly below the diving board which allowed guests in the lower level to observe the action inside the pool.
