Destroyed Otis elevator cab
At some point over the last 25 years of abandonment, water started entering the hoistway, falling onto the roof of the cab, which is obviously not meant to withstand continued exposure to water. This led to to the ultimate collapse of the drop ceiling in the cab, and subsequent severe rust of the components that were most in contact with the water. A very sad looking ventilation fan and fluorescent light sit just above the original ceiling line.
