Severed deer hoof close up
A severed deer hoof sitting on the asphalt in the dead end. Actually, there were four of these "still furry" hooves. This is why I find this to be interesting: there was one dead animal that had rotted away. And then a deer was just hanging around there when, plop, it just died? No way. I think someone was hunting or something back here and was playing surgeon before taking the rest of the carcass home. One spine, one skull, 8 legs? Unless this is some kind of arachnid-deer hybrid, I doubt it.
