Do not enter sign on gated road

I took this photo because I wasn't sure what to do here -- I pulled my car in. Ok, so first I "do not enter", then I stop twice, then on the way back out, I stop again (notice the sign facing in). Weird... Note that only a fool would leave their vehicle in this location if they were visiting.
