7 ton bridge sign
Perhaps one of the least effective weight limit signs I've ever seen. Mounted on the side of a bridge where it would have been virtually invisible to traffic even back in its heyday, this "weight limit" sign uses some creative text and font colors, and reads, "Capacity of bridge 7 ton". Not only is "ton" not capitalized, but perhaps I'm reading into this one too much. Since it is after all a small bridge, maybe the hard capacity of the bridge is exactly 7 tons. Whereas "weight limit" signs often mean that the driver of a heavy truck will suffer legal consequences if found in the weight limit zone, perhaps this sign means the bridge will simply collapse under the weight. Seen by the active middle school near the old power plant.
