Bumper girls mural under construction
One of the last standing walls of Palace Amusements. It reads "Skooter Ride" and features a mural of the "bumper girls". These murals were removed during the preservation process. In this photo, you can see that the concrete masonry units above the murals have been removed, and metal braces have been added below and around the masonry units on which the mural was painted. These metal braces were then lifted vertically by crane, allowing the murals to pop right out of the old structure before it was demolished.
